Responsive Projection Dome
A four-projector geodesic environment translating bodies, motion, breath, and presence into shifting light across the interior skin.
Projection, sensing, light, sculpture, movement, festival builds, and rooms that answer back.
Interactive Art is where sensing, sculpture, projection, light, human participation, festival engineering, and beautifully impractical ideas collide.
The work is not designed merely to be looked at. It asks people to enter, trigger, alter, inhabit, witness, or become part of the mechanism.
PLEASE TOUCH THE ART WHEN INSTRUCTED
A four-projector geodesic environment translating bodies, motion, breath, and presence into shifting light across the interior skin.
Wi-Fi and radio sensing interpreted as an artistic map rather than a security dashboard: respiration, motion, density, absence, and ghostly signal weather.
A recurring personal cryptid: classical form, rabbit anatomy, wings, blue-eyed attention, and the uneasy dignity of becoming one’s own symbol.
A removable festival transformation for a utility cart: EMT frame, addressable light, sound, theatrical signaling, and enough presence to become a tiny moving landmark.
Sensors detect motion, proximity, touch, radio disturbances, sound, or other evidence that a human has arrived.
Light, image, sound, movement, and spatial change return the participant’s presence in altered form.
The participant is not merely a pair of eyes. Scale, position, movement, and physical participation matter.
A system may be technically explainable without exhausting the experience. Mystery is not a bug report.
| LAYER | MATERIAL | QUESTION |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | Domes, frames, carts, modular walls | Can it survive transport and weather? |
| Light | Projection, LEDs, reflected color | What becomes visible only at night? |
| Sensing | Wi-Fi, motion, cameras, contact, audio | How does the room know someone arrived? |
| Interface | Movement, touch, participation, ritual | What does the human actually do? |
| Operations | Power, cables, signage, attendants | Can another person run it at 2:17 a.m.? |
[RULE 01] PARTICIPATION: The invitation must be legible even when the artwork is not.
[RULE 02] TECH: Conceal complexity, not safety.
[RULE 03] FESTIVAL: A beautiful installation still needs spare fuses, labeled cables, and a rain plan.
[ONGOING] ARTIST: I did what I liked, and they called me that.
